Pub Tent

Tigh an Óil

Our Namesake:  “The George”
Curraun, Co. Mayo
Joe Moran, Proprietor in the early 1980s

The George colorEndeavoring to create the mood of an authentic Irish Pub outside under a tent is not easy – but the Pub Tent succeeds and certainly draws a crowd.  The crowd gathers for the great music, traditional songs with a few surprises thrown in by the myriad of pub bands who entertain there throughout the weekend.  The Pub’s namesake is the “The George” in Curraun, Co. Mayo where Joe Moran was proprietor in the early 1980s.  Just as Joe was always fusing great music with great friends and great fun, good “cráic” is found all weekend long in the Pub Tent.
